The largest private-sector coal company will attend ICIE
Until April 1st, reporters from the organizing committee of the 8th Xinjiang International Coal Industry Exhibition (ICIE) was informed that Peabody Energy would take participate in ICIE during July 22nd-24th, 2011.
Xinjiang International Coal Industry Exhibition is hosted by the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional People's government. It is the largest international coal industry exhibition in Central Asia.
Peabody Energy Corporation is the largest private-sector coal company in the world and becoming the worldwide leader in low cost energy. The company's coal fuels approximately 10% of the electricity generated in the
Xinjiang owns 40% of domestic coal, which forms a huge potential coal market. Many energy groups complete for investment here during the twelfth “five-year-plan”. ICIE absolutely provide a platform for communication between mining enterprises and manufacturers. It is reported that the investment amounts invested coal project in Xinjiang can over 1 trillion yuan.
According to exhibition reports, the total amount by participation agreement signing was near 700 billion yuan in the 7th Xinjiang International Coal Industry Exhibition. The number had been increased over 36 times and the investment growth rate approaching to 90% compared with that of the 6th ICIE.
Besides Peabody Energy, there are other major mining enterprises,which have signed in the engage contracts with organizing committee. They are Henan Coal Chemical Industry Group Co.,Ltd, Lu’An Group, Heilongjiang Longmei Mining Group Co.,Ltd, Huaibei Mining Group, Mongolia Yitai Group and so on.
